Double mindedness

What is it going to be?

Which am I going to choose?

Both are not possible.

One or the other?

There is no room for compromise.

Choosing one negates the other.

Will I have faith or will I fear?

There are signs and indicators to which I adhere.

These point to my mindset.

These too are indicators.

I have learned what it means to be double minded.

Being double minded is like being a ping pong ball, your life is spent getting knocked around between competing ideas. Both want to win but you get beat up in the process. Bouncing between fear and faith can be exhausting, defeating and paralyzing.

We have every reason to finally make up our minds to stand on the side of faith.

Fear has no place in the life of the believer. Time and again we are encouraged to walk away from fear and to step out in faith.

Fear is a choice. It may be dangerous but fear is not required. Faith provides the confidence that provides no room for worry, doubt, anxiousness or fear.

Let’s encourage one another to be bold and courageous. To fear not and to hold on to our faith.
