Don’t be that guy

As great of a leader as he was, King David dealt with the pain of betrayal over and over again.

If you have been betrayed, give your burden to the Lord. People will disappoint. But the Lord sustains.

Likewise be careful not to become the betrayer! It’s okay to be brutally honest with a brother but to betray him, especially for personal gain, is betrayal at its worst.

“As for this friend of mine, he betrayed me; he broke his promises. His words are as smooth as cream, but in his heart is war. His words are as soothing as lotion, but underneath are daggers! Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.”

Psalm 55:20-22 NLT
