Lackadaisical. What a funny word. The lackadaisical mindset is rooted in lacking. All too often we have a lacking mindset.

As believers, we are called to an abundance mindset. We are called to be scatter-minded! If only we will believe he is able and we will reap what we sow. Sow sparingly and we will reap sparingly. Scatter seed and we will watch results pop up beyond comparison and expectation.

We are called to live scatter-minded! Throw some seed, multiply, grow and produce. The result is a giving and generous heart that experiences life abundant.

A scarcity mindset causes us to hold back, hold tight, and operate with caution.

The Lord challenges us to give, love and bless. It is counterintuitive. How do we grow by giving? When we pour out, we are filled up. Those who refresh are they themselves refreshed.

We can choose to be lackadaisical, to set back and play it safe or we can take what we have, large or small, scatter it before God and watch him take two fish and five loaves and feed the multitudes.

Our leader does not lack. He is not rallying the lackadaisical. He is calling out the courageous who dare to live life with an abundance life style and scatter some seed!

God seeks to bless, to expand, to walk with and keep us from a lackadaisical mindset. Why? Because he is a God that loves his kids and desires to see them experience life abundantly!

Truly, it is more blessed to give than to receive. When we cut loose, we are free and put ourselves in a position to do anything but live lackadaisical.

Let’s live scatter-minded, expecting great things from a great God who deeply desires to use great kids, hell-bent on seeing great things happen in their lives and the lives of others!

Let’s scatter some seed today! Let’s live scatter-minded!
